•General Conditions Your daily rates include unlimited kilometers, GST, insurance and diesel mileage. Freshly laundered linen and all cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery are supplied. o All hires are subject to the Terms of Hire on the RVA hire agreement. o Smoking or pets not permitted in the campervans. o Driver's licence Hirer and driver must be over 21 years of age and produce a valid driver's licence. New Zealand recognises driver's licences issued by your own country, as well as International drivers licenses.
• Bookings and Deposit A deposit of 20% of the total is required to secure the dates of hire. This is part of the hire charge. The balance of the hire is due on Pick Up of vehicle. This can be paid by cash, Credit Card or internet banking.
• Bond When you collect your vehicle all hire costs are to be paid in full including the $1200 Vehicle Security/Bond. This is the insurance excess for any accident which may occur during your holiday. This is refundable should there be no damage to the campervan and the campervan is in a reasonable state of cleanliness on the termination of the hire. We do not deduct the bond from the credit card, but merely hold the authority to deduct it in the event of an accident or traffic infringement. Where a credit card is not available, the cash bond will be held for 21 Days following hire.
• Insurance You are fully insured in case of accident damage or loss of contents (excluding personal belongings). There is an excess/deductible of NZ$1200. This covers the cost of damage to Third Party property or to the rented vehicle, but does not include windscreen and tyre damage. We recommend that you have personal travel insurance while traveling.
• Hire Period Rates are charged on a calendar day basis. (If you pick up your vehicle on a Monday and return it the following Sunday the hire is calculated as a 7 day rental). Pick up and drop off times are arranged prior to collection. If a vehicle is returned later than the agreed time on the final hire day you will be charged an additional day's hire. Each day after the final hire day, that the vehicle is not returned, you will be charged an additional day's hire as well as a fifty dollar penalty per day.
Refunds are not available if the campervan is returned earlier than agreed.
• Fuel All vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the start of hire, and must be returned with a full tank at the end of your hire otherwise a refueling fee of NZD $80 will apply.
• Roadside Assistance AA Nationwide 24 hour free call helpline are there should you require assistance. If you incur any minor repair bills we will give you a refund (up to NZ$100). Just produce receipts. If major repairs are needed, protect yourself by getting us to authorise it first. AA has a nation wide 24 hour free call helpline. Please see the inside of the windscreen for the phone number.
• Driving Infringements We reserve the right to charge the hirer for any speeding or parking fines, associated administration costs and/or accidents including third party property damaged not reported on return of campervan. The administration fee per fine will be NZ$60.
• Road Restrictions Please note that vehicles are not covered by insurance when traveling on the following roads: o Ninety Mile Beach (Northland) o Tapu – Coroglen Road (Coromandel Penisula) o North of Colville township (Coromandel Penisula) o Ball Hutt Road (Mt Cook) o Skippers Canyon Road (Queenstown)
• Cancellation Policy If your confirmed booking is cancelled prior to 14 days of the hire date, we will refund your deposit in full. The deposit is forfeited if bookings are cancelled within 14 days of the hire date (departure).
